Yosemite Valley, California
This page contains 13 pictures taken in the prettiest valley in the
world, Yosemite, located on the western side of the Sierra Nevada in
eastern central California, 150 miles due east of San Francisco.
This glacier-carved valley boasts the highest waterfall in North America,
the largest single piece of exposed rock in the world (El Capitan),
the famous Half-Dome, as well as numerous other waterfalls.
Each of the pictures shown below is a 10%x10% miniature of a larger

This is a view of
Bridal Veil Creek, as seen from the short trail from the parking lot to the
viewing area at the base of Bridal Veil Falls.
I don't know that name of this scenic creek. I pulled this picture off of news
a while ago; the poster said it was somewhere in one of the less-visited parts
of the park.
This is a shot from Glacier Point: Half-Dome is in the back-ground,
with a beautiful sunset providing the rich, vibrant colors.

At the top Nevada Falls several warning signs are posted; part of the message
reads: If you slip and go over, you will die.
